Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of around 9 million in North Delhi, is participating in ‘National Lok Adalat’ for prompt settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connections. The National Lok Adalat will be held in association with Delhi State Legal Service Authority (DSLSA) on Saturday, 10th May, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PLA-1, Sub-station Building 2/13, Sector -13, Rohini, Delhi – 110085, near Venkateshwar Global School.
Customers wishing to participate in the proceedings of the National Lok Adalat are requested to register by calling the helpline number 19124. For issues related to theft bills, they may write to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com, and for dues pertaining to disconnected connections, they can reach out to customercare@tatapower-ddl.com. Registered litigants should carry their Photo ID, along with a copy of their theft bill or bill against disconnected connection. Additionally, consumers seeking to settle disputed bills may directly approach PLA-1 on a walk-in basis with a copy of the bill and their Aadhaar card.
The National Lok Adalat provides a good opportunity for consumers seeking amicable on-the-spot settlement of power theft cases and dues pertaining to disconnected connections. In case of a default, the company is obliged to initiate appropriate criminal/ civil proceedings against the consumers under the relevant provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations. Consumers can pay their bills through various means, such as Cheque, Demand Draft (DD), Debit Card, Credit Card and various online modes, or Cash.
