Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited signs an MoU with NTPC School of Business to nurture skilled manpower in the Power SectorDate : Dec 27, 2022

• Aims to conduct joint trainings for capacity building for students of NSB

In line with its vision to create a large reservoir of qualified and trained manpower in the energy sector, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a pioneering power distribution utility, supplying electricity to a populace of over 7 million in North Delhi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTPC School of Business. This partnership will address the training and human resource development needs of the power distribution personnel, bringing together the expertise and resources of two industry leaders for the overall benefit of the sector.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Praveen Agrawal, Chief- Human Resource and Industrial Relations, Tata Power-DDL and Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, Director, NTPC School of Business.

With the vision and belief of scaling up the industry’s trained workforce and make them future ready, Tata Power-DDL and NTPC NSB will curate combination programs including customized onsite programs, calendar training programs, and advanced training programs. The training programs under the partnership will be designed in accordance with new and emerging technologies and best practices for enhancing knowledge competency.

Speaking of the signing, Mr. Praveen Agrawal, Chief- Human Resource & Industrial Relations, Tata Power-DDL said, “At Tata Power-DDL, we are constantly working towards creating value for the future. Through this association with NTPC, we are focussed at nurturing and grooming the workforce to make them future oriented. We are optimistic that this initiative will in setting a benchmark and shaping the talent landscape in the power sector .”

Both the organizations will jointly work towards training engineers/officials on various techno-managerial aspects of emerging issues in the distribution sector such as operations and maintenance, asset management, distributed generation, smart grid, power procurement optimization, EV charging etc.
