Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of around 9 million in North Delhi, has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Certificate of Merit in the DISCOM sector’ at the 34th National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2024. The award ceremony was organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Union Ministry of Power (MoP) on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
The ‘Certificate of Merit’ was received by Ms. Kiran Gupta, Chief - Customer Experience, Commercial, Govt. Affairs, EAC & Consumer Litigation, Mr Shashank Sharma, HoD – G&I, E&S, NBS & Street Light Projects and Mr Kapil Kumar, HoD - PSC, BD & Storage on behalf of Tata Power-DDL. The award was presented in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Mr. Shripad Naik. The event was attended by many dignitaries from the government and private industries.
Tata Power-DDL has been a pioneer in energy conservation, actively participating and advocating in demand-side management programs. The company's flagship initiatives, including Urja Arpan and behavioural demand response programs, aim to optimize energy usage while empowering consumers to reduce their carbon footprint.
