Tata Power-DDL to organize National Lok Adalat on Saturday, 14 December, 2024 for quick settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connectionsDate : Dec 12, 2024


• National Lok Adalat to be held at PLA1, Sub-station Building 2/13, Sector – 13, Rohini, Delhi, Near Vekateshwar Global School.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of around 9 million in North Delhi, is participating in the ‘National Lok Adalat’ in association with Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) on Saturday, 14 December, 2024 for prompt settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connections. The National Lok Adalat will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PLA-I, Sub Station Building 2/13, Sector – 13, Rohini, Delhi – 110085, near Venkateshwar Global School.

Those who want to take part in the proceedings of National Lok Adalat, need to register at helpline 19124 or by writing to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com. Registered litigants should carry their Photo ID, along with a copy of their theft bill. Additionally, consumers seeking to settle disputed bills may directly approach PLA-1 on a walk-in basis with a copy of the bill and their Aadhaar card.

The National Lok Adalat provides a good opportunity for consumers seeking amicable on-the-spot settlement of power theft cases and disconnected connections. In case of a default, the company will be obliged to initiate criminal/ civil proceedings against the consumers under the relevant provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations. Consumers can pay their bills through various means, such as Cheque, Demand Draft (DD), Debit Card, Credit Card and various online modes, or Cash.
