Tata Power-DDL Successfully Meets Record 1967 MW of Peak Power Demand as Delhi Touches a record high of 7016 MWDate : Jul 10, 2018

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) successfully met the record peak power demand of 1967 MW without any network constraint and power outage as Delhi touched a record high of 7016 MW, highest for this year. Two weeks back, the highest peak demand registered in Tata Power-DDL’s area was 1947 MW and in overall Delhi it was 6934 MW.

“This summer season, the peak demand in Delhi is increasing with each passing day. We are expecting the Delhi peak demand to touch 7200 MW and Tata Power-DDL’s to cross 2000 MW in the coming days. However, we have made adequate arrangements of power of up to 2,200MW, along with contingency planning, through long-term tie-ups and power banking arrangements. We have also upgraded our network to ensure regular supply in our area of distribution.” said Mr. Sanjay Banga, CEO, Tata Power-DDL.
