Tata Power-DDL Successfully Meets Record 1947 MW of Peak Power Demand as Delhi Touches a record high of 6934 MWDate : Jun 08, 2018

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) today successfully met the record peak power demand of 1947 MW without any network constraint and power outage as Delhi touched a record high of 6934 MW, highest for this year. Last year, the highest peak demand registered in Tata Power-DDL’s area was 1852 MW and in overall Delhi it was 6526 MW.

“This summer season, the peak demand in Delhi is increasing with each passing day. We are expecting the Delhi peak demand to cross 7000 MW and Tata Power-DDL’s to cross 2000 MW in the coming days. However, we have made adequate arrangements of power of up to 2,200MW, along with contingency planning, through long-term tie-ups and power banking arrangements, and upgraded network to ensure regular supply in our area of distribution.” said Mr. Sanjay Banga, CEO, Tata Power-DDL.
